Please read this information regarding the sub-letting of properties at Limehouse Cut.
The leaseholder must request in writing from the Board that it agrees to the leaseholder sub-letting the property by mailing sublet@limehousecut.org
The leaseholder must register details of each tenant (full names, e-mail address and telephone number) by completing the form available at
The leaseholder must provide a copy of the assured shorthold tenancy (AST), gas safety certificate and evidence of landlord’s insurance sent to sublet@limehousecut.org
The leaseholder must pay a registration fee of £45 to Limehouse Cut Management (567) Limited at the beginning of each new tenancy
As a gesture of good will leaseholders will not be required to pay the fee for a current tenancy. However going forward all new tenancies will incur a registration fee. All information detailed in points 1, 2 and 3 is still required and must be submitted upon receipt of this letter.
The leaseholder must ensure the moving in process is well-managed and that it does not cause inconvenience or disruption to leaseholders/residents at Limehouse Cut.
Under the terms of the lease if a property is sub-let by the leaseholder then the leaseholder has a responsibility to ensure the tenants abide by the terms of the lease. This includes, but is not exclusive to:
Noise nuisance
Anti-social behaviour
Illegal or illicit behaviour
Pets
Sub-sub-letting
Ensure the moving out process is well-managed and that it does not cause inconvenience or disruption to leaseholders/residents at Limehouse Cut. There should be no possessions, furniture, mattresses or similar left in any of the common parts, including the loading bay, following the end of a tenancy. It is exclusively the responsibility of a landlord to ensure that all such items are removed. In the event that tenants leave such items at the end of a tenancy then the items will be removed and a minimum fee of £250 will be charged to the landlord.
It is important to note that breaches of the lease by tenants may result in forfeiture of the lease for the leaseholder.
This letter should be read along with the fuller document regarding landlord and tenant responsibilities on the Limehouse Cut website.
